Stategic Plan

The Institute for the Handicapped and Backward People continue to be a strong and effective force in the community. Project initiatives for the year 2010-11.

The project will educate 2000 disabled helpless children allowing them to rise included of education, which will provide for their families’ health and well-being.

We place nearly 2000 disabled in new home.

We performed more than 2000 surgeries in our high-volume, low cost clinic.

We worked to keep disabled children healthy by providing more than 10,000 vaccinations.

We helped more than 1200 sick and frightened trough temporary placement with faster care volunteers and we assisted more than 3000 people through self standing by providing training

CAPACITY BUILDING

Strengthen the capacity of all stakeholders to promote, guide, and facilitate the inclusion of disability issues and the participation of people with disabilities in the development policies and programs at the regional, national, & community levels.

KNOWLEDGE SHARING

Increase the awareness of methods and efforts to promote and achieve inclusive development. Act as an information hub and a facilitator of knowledge sharing.

KNOWLEDGE CREATION AND RESERCH

Facilitate research and knowledge creation that is useful to the equalization of opportunities and full participation of people with disabilities in our country.

NETWORKING

Promote collaboration of diverse partners such as governments, non- governmental organizations and others in order to achieve the inclusion of disability issues in international and national economic and social , according to a no-gap policy.

OBJECTIVES

The Objective of the Institute for the Handicapped and Backward People (IFTHABP) is to combat the social and economic exclusion and impoverishment of people with disabilities and their families in country. To achieve this Objective, Institute for the Handicapped and Backward People partners work jointly and individually to:
  • Improve the quality and effectiveness of public policy-making and implementation
  • Increase the resources devoted to disability and development, and improve the efficiency with which public and private resources are used to improve the quality of lives of, and increase opportunities for, people with disabilities.
  • A society based on legitimate rights, equity, justice, honesty, social sensitivity and a culture of service, in which all are self reliant
