Our Activities

Institute for the Handicapped has been providing special education, training and rehabilitation services to the children with disabilities since the year 2001.
The institute being non-residential emphasizes on training of Hearing Impaired, Cerebral Palsy, Mentally Challenged and has kept trying to rehabilitate them in their community itself Infrastructure and other resource constraints have been always a factor, which imposes restrictions on the expansion of coverage of more areas of this coastal south 24 parganas . We continue our effort with new initiatives untiringly for education of the Hearing Impaired, Cerebral Palsy and mentally retarded children through this project.

Organisation is dedicated to protecting the vulnerable all over the country. We protect children who are sold as sex workers, advocate for women who must fight for the opportunity to learn to read, and defend the millions of minorities and others around the world who suffer in silence.

What we do:

We act as a leading personnel development worldwide in selected regions. We advise and encourage state and local partners and NGOs and self-help initiatives. We are working partner-, participatory, the target group and support structural change processes from below. We promote local expertise by local experts. We influence public debate on development issues and participate in intercultural dialogue.

How we work:

• We have a co-culture, which ensures the transparency of decisions and active involvement of employees in the program.

 

• We understand the Institute for the Handicapped and Backward People headquarters as a control - and service unit.

 

• We ensure our offices in the developing partners nearby, and the quality of our work.

 

• We cooperate with other development cooperation institutions and organizations to provide external structure without on-site services.

 

• We fund our work with funds from the federal budget and also develop other public and private sources.

 

• We provide individual preparation and continuous training of our staff.

 

• We win with our returnees for tolerance and openness in India.

 

• Local community involvement and encourage to them.
